Luftbrückendenkmal (Airlift Memorial), Frankfurt Airport, 26/12/2012. The memorial site features two airplanes, a Douglas C-47 and a Douglas C-54, both used by the USAF as “Raisin Bombers” in 1948 and 1949.
This series received its title from the name tag displayed on the C-47. It was originally intended to continue the Industrial Zone series but then seemed to become a small narrative in its own right.
