Tobias, I somehow missed this one. Glad I found it, so much detail, so simple, and a great story to tell.
Thank you, Lynn – I am happy you like it!
Love this! mysterious, almost ominous atmosphere.
Thank you, Cindy. I am happy you do.

Oh, I really like this photo! Reblog-worthy. 🙂
I appreciate it – thank you!
is this a historical place??
Excellent question. I am quite sure this is not a historical place in particular (although it might have seen battles during WW II). I was rather thinking of the future: There are man-made objects in this picture that are said to take about 400 years to deteriorate. That stuff has also been found inside birds, sea turtles, and mussels.
I like the darkness of it, gives it atmosphere
That’s how I tend to see it, too. Thanks, Jo!
TMS: keep them dark. Adds mystery. Too many photos are correctly exposed without being perfectly exposed. This is perfect.
Thank you, Don!
Thanks for sharing this image. And yes, it appears a little underexposed on my iPhone. With a bright sky in the background, these are tough shots.
Thanks for visiting and commenting, Rick. I am afraid that if the picture were brighter, it probably would not be what I wanted, and I think I might have dismissed it –
nice one!
Thank you!
Nice B+W, but maybe a little too dark to view properly
