Thanks Lucile! I had to look up the translation for “Litfaßsäule”: it is an advertising column, much like a billboard, but round. I think I have also seen them in the Netherlands. The columns I photograph, somebody tore down parts of the posters (maybe because somebody else scribbled Bilble quotes on them before). So I seek the construction in the destruction.
