…at the Downtown. This the prequel to my last post, so if you visit my blog you can see the pictures of this series in the intended sequence. I will continue this story in the subesequent two posts.
Walk Right In, by Gus Cannon, was sung by Ella Fitzgerald in Hamburg, in 1965. My parents had the record, and I listened to it a lot.
I like the sequence, glad to see your work here. And who doesn’t like Ella!
Thank you! Glad you like the sequence, it’s always hard to guess if it makes as much sense to my visitors as it does to me.
Very clever Tobias – I’m thinking the empty stage, yes?
Thanks, Tina – I was considering the empty stage (and the empty space in the picture frame an empty stage where things can happen). However, this just being one out of three pictures, I decided to take a rain check on this challenge. I wouldn’t want to interrupt the sequence… Glad you swung by anyway.
I remember the song well.
Ella‘s version or the original? Thanks for visiting, Jo!
The original, unfortunately, Tobias!
That bad? I’ll have to find it online… Ella’s version is quite fresh. The recording is on Spotify.
No, I just meant I’m old enough to remember 🤣💙
