There might be use for a bit of light, I shine it because this is my 500. post, plus this is a contribution for the Minimalism Special at Lost in Translation.
Rubbish
Surpassing Himself
This week, Krista at The Daily Post presents us with a “New Horizon” challenge: “Think ahead and show your work in a representative photo. If you set New Year’s resolutions, give them some thought a few weeks early. If resolutions aren’t your style, show us something that you want to achieve — it could be setting a new goal, making plans, or even tackling that pile of laundry waiting by the washer. The goal is to get out of the busy ‘now,’ and imagine your new horizon. Go!”
Sweep it Under the Carpet
This is my contribution for Thursday’s Special at Paula’s Lost in Translation: Conceptual Photography. The idiom is the same in German, by the way: “Etwas unter den Teppich kehren.”
Aquatic
This is my contribution for Thursday’s Special at Paula’s Lost in Translation. It was “pick a word” again, and I went with the first one on the list: aquatic. | Tech specs: Sony A6000 with Nikon 55/2.8 Micro-Nikkor.
Light Curtain
Light on Table
Although I perceive this as a twilight situation, I am not sure if it is what Paula had in mind with her Thursday’s Challenge. Best pay her a visit and see for yourselves…
Dare precedenza!
I Read The News Today Oh Boy…
I was looking for something referring to ‘the news’ as a stage for this tiny reader when I stumbled upon last Friday’s copy of Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (one of the quality newspapers in Germany, they say). I began fooling around with the miniature man and the front page, and arrived at this picture.
This is my contribution for the Weekly Photo Challenge – but I ought to say that much of my interest in tiny worlds was induced by Jennifer Nichole Wells’ photography.
Ascending | Idleness | Jaunty | Whiff | Luminosity
Ascending, idleness, jaunty, whiff, luminosity – those were the words to pick from for Paula’s Thursday Special. For a change, I tried to cover as many of them in as few pictures as possible. I am not sure if I succeeded, however, so it is up to you to decide…
Dark
A contribution for Ailsa’s Travel Theme.
Golden Hour
As the days get darker – all the faster after the end of daylight saving time – dusk may fall as we take our walks. But no complaints: The opportunities to play with light are plenty. So here is a contribution for Jo’s Monday Walks. (Finally!)
Just Add Some Colour
Blue Corner
Another contribution for this week’s Photo Challenge: Shine.
A Shiny Package
As the days get shorter and the weather generally takes a turn for the worse, it sems that the little souces of light – albeit reflected light – become more conspicuous. | A contribution for this week’s Photo Challenge.
Shine: The Importance of Being Pretty
Just another contribution for this week’s Photo Challenge.
Shining From Inside
A contribution for this week’s inspiring Photo Challenge.
Pink
A contribution for Thurday’s Special at Lost in Translation: The subject is pink, and I decided against “pink and cuddly” (see the original challenge to find out what I am alluding to here).
Shine Through
This week’s Photo Challenge turns out to fascinate me, what with the days getting darker and leaving the photographer looking for lights… Here is another shot at the topic.
Shine
“Has something bright or reflective caught your eye in the moment?” – Here’s my answer for the Weekly Photo Challenge: It just happened yesterday.
